So, we learn today that the Governor didn’t know anything about the "Edmonton" education initiative he’s touting. So, how does he make decisions? By Ouija board?? Bird entrails? And the War on Terror in Nevada still seems to require the utmost secrecy concerning Gibbons’ shakin’. New study of mercury in wildlife finds a bunch in Maine, New Hampshire and other points northeast. Likely source of the mercury? Coal-fired plants, say real scientists. (RGJ) Four T.V. crews, and crack reporters from the San Francisco Chronicle, Sacramento Bee, and National Public Radio watched as the Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD) voted against signing up to suck power from a dirty Utah coal-fired plant for 50 years. As [...] Except Nevada. Utah: California cities under new rules requiring them to avoid power from coal-fired plants are balking at buying from dirty Utah plants. (SLTrib AP) Hope those Nevada plants aren’t planning to sell power to California. Ahh. Nothing like the bidness section of the CFGRJ to drum up uncritical support for coal-fired plants in Ely. Down here in the sinful south, we get the impression that the folks up in "Gibbons’ Country" are solid, conservative sorts. Boy, we’re we wrong.
