Hooray! Dust up between Governor and law-enforcement big-wigs over, trumpets local newspaper insert. (Sun) Yup, law enforcement poobahs simply caved to the Governor’s wasteful and pointless demand for a wasteful and pointless third terrorist tracking "fusion" center in Carson City because, well, I guess they figure if you’re gonna waste state and federal money, you might [...] I spoke too soon about the stiffening of rubbery Democratic backbones. During yesterday’ meeting of the Board of Examiners, SoS Ross Miller and AG Catherine Cortez Masto voted along with the Gibbers to fund the pointless Homeland Security Terrorism "Fusion" Center and Cylon Mothership in Carson City. (RJ) Law enforcement officials were originally dumbfounded by Governor Gibbons proposal [...] I just hope none of the commissioners for the Nevada Homeland Security Commission were sitting around in Caliente yesterday waiting for the Gube to show up. Now, the only reason I bring this up is that on the Nevada Homeland Insecurity Website, the meeting is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 13th, which, as far as I can tell, [...] So, to prove absolutely and for all time that you should always pick Simpson reruns over the local TV news, comes KVBC’s dramatic reading of a Gube press release. Talk about phoning it in. The local Ken and Barbie dolls couldn’t be bothered with even a tiny smidgen of back story to their report of sometime Governor [...] Yay! Another exciting announcement from the Governor’s office! He’s making a "Cater to the Haters" tour of the border and points south. And north. And he’s left lieutenant Gube Krolicki the Crook in charge. Yippee! The Governor’s headed to San Diego, Californication, not, repeat, not to check out hot border babes and snort Tequila. No, he’s out [...] When it comes to wasting taxpayer dollars, nobody does it better that politicians running around screaming "Security! Security!" like an old Star Trek rerun. So, you remember that third leg terror center Gibbers wanted for Carson City, despite the fact that everybody else thought two, one in Reno and one in Las Vegas, were plenty? Well, the [...] That seems to be the mission for that pointless waste of tax-payer money otherwise known as the Carson City terrorism center: Under the plan, Carson City, Reno and Las Vegas will simultaneously Las Vegas will take the lead in dealing with threats that [...] So, it looks like a foregone conclusion. Everybody’s going along with the nutty idea that Gibbons should waste Nevada taxpayer money on a third, pointless "fusion center" in Carson City. Clark County Sheriff Gillespie, who used to think it was a bad idea and tattled about it to Harry Reid, is all on board now that [...] Eagle-eyed NV Mojo actually reads the Sun and picked up on the outcome of last Friday’s meeting between the Gube’s Homeland Security people–what’s left of ‘em anyway–and Clark County Sheriff Gillespie’s gang.
