From here on out, the correct response to Gubernatorial goofiness is to shrug one's shoulders, flash that winning Nor'Townie grin, and say "there he goes again," and then go about your business as if he doesn't exist. Which he doesn't now and certainly won't in two more years. Bloviating bloggers and their hard-copy, wannabe imitators are excepted from that policy, natch.

Looking at the Amodei check and Mary Lau issues in the comment threads provided, it’s hard to believe that a year has gone by….and yet, the circus clowns are still in town, under the big tent, still performing.
