Some northern Regentard seems to have written a whole article where he typed "Rogers" where 80% of Nevadans would have written "Gibbons"–suggesting "Rogers" apologize and resign, not necessarily in that order. (RGJ).
Pretty weird, tho, to suggest somebody resign when there's only something like 3 months left on his contract. Guess that's part of the new, post-capitalism economy.
Funny, too, to suggest somebody resign for telling the truth. All Rogers said was:
Nevada. What strange set of facts could possibly have come together to
elect this man whose every characteristic supports one cause — Jim
Gibbons. The man has absolutely no regard for the welfare of any other
human being.
Rather than a governor, Nevadans elected an
executioner. Did he snooker us all? Was he able to camouflage himself
to such an extent and hide behind so many empty slogans that a majority
of Nevada would vote for this man in the empty suit, for an ideology
that has three simple words, “no new taxes”?
These words from
Gibbons’ mouth represent a total lack of understanding of the purpose
of government. His words also evidence no understanding of the
devastation these three little words can cause. (NA)
Seems sort of restrained and milquetoasty to me, given the subject matter.
Huh. Looks like only the Goober is askeered of the Chancellor. (INP) Maybe the Legislature should earmark the Gube a nightlight. Diapers, too, if necessary.
Hruumph! Goober ain’t askeered of nobody. That emotion takes thought processes which takes a certain organ which sits on top of the spinal column. And it’s already been proven our Goober has neither of these requisite parts. So there!
I stand corrected. I meant the sort of “conditioned fear” like one might find in a gastropod mollusk.
Truth telling is frowned upon I guess. It’s amazing what happens when people elect people to government positions who hate government. Nevada is eating itself up from the inside at the behest of Gibbons and his ilk.
