You know, if I were to list the things Gibbons should be afraid of losing, I wouldn't put sovereignty at the top of the list. (RJ) Marbles, credibility, casino campaign bucks, hair, maybe. But sovereignty?
Don't you have to have something first, before you start worrying about losing it?
And is that something you take Viagra for? Loss of sovereignty?
It's no wonder that Shelley Berkley and Dina Titus went after the goobtard. First, he whines and begs for fed stimulus bucks for the Nevada delegation, then, through the fog that passes for his political intuition, notices that Republitarians, desperate for an issue, are agin the stimulus and thus feels compelled by the voices in his head to be agin the stimulus funds, too. So, the congressgals give him what he wants, but he snaps back at the hands feeding him.
Almost as classy as getting a few more kicks at the Chancellor after he'd been banished from the manse.
But the insanity doesn't end there–not in goober country. The staff informs us that the GIbbers hasn't even decided whether to take the money yet or not!
Despite his angry words, Gibbons has not decided whether to accept the funds, according to the release.
So, what happens if he takes the funds? Does that means he's in favor of the state losing the sovereignty he's supposedly vowing to protect?
Of course, we read
The state already accepts plenty of
federal dollars that come with conditions, such as matching funds for
various programs that require the state to contribute a share.
And I hereby dub Gibbons' spokester Dan Burns, "Pooper Scoop Dan," cuz he's like that guy who used to follow circus parades in old timey days–shoveling the stuff dropping out of the backside of the old, broken down elephant.
"Congresswomen Berkley and Titus Gibbons spokesman Daniel Burns said that comment wasn't intended to
need to stop being led around by lobbyists and put the interests of
Nevada citizens first," Gibbons said.
imply that the representatives fell prey to special interests lobbying
on behalf of the unemployed.
Uh, good catch, Dan? Uh, WTF? "Special interests lobbying on the behalf of the unemployed"??? Wow, that must be a huge, well-funded group with plush K-street offices, no doubt. Unemployment is such a growth industry these days, after all.

I hear by the grapevine Goober has become Rush Limbaugh’s brain. But that’s impossible on two counts, huh?
…and yet, for years, then Congressman Gibbons, voted for law after law telling Nevada an its citizens to do it the Republican Controlled Congress Way. One example? National ID act.
Odd world, no?
